I took fresh pineapple, mango, strawberry, kiwi and bananas, cut them up & froze them. I ran them thru my Champion with the blank. I found if I run the fruit first followed by the
banana, it cleaned each color out ready for the next. I put half banana and half fruit equaling 2 cups for each flavor. Put it in a loaf pan, one layer on top of the other and back into the
freezer. When I unmolded it, I just ran a knife around the sides and set the bottom of pan in a little hot water, and it plopped right out. Had the cashew frosting ready and frosted it. I like
the frozen desserts because you can make them up ahead. They do keep nice in the freezer, and you can eat them piece by piece. I let them warm up a bit at room temp and they are lovely. I was
even thinking of doing a Neapolitan type with strawberry, pineapple and carob. |
